Where Can You Smoke at Heathrow Airport?
Smoking is only allowed in the designated smoking areas located outside the terminal buildings. Once you pass through security, smoking or vaping is prohibited inside Heathrow Airport. If you have a connecting flight, you will need to exit the terminal to smoke and go through security again.

Heathrow Terminal 2 Smoking Area
The designated smoking area for Terminal 2 is located near Gate A1, only a minute’s walk from the World Duty Free store.
Heathrow Terminal 3 Smoking Area
Smoking inside Terminal 3 is not allowed. Although a smoking area existed during earlier renovations, it was removed in 2019. The only available smoking areas are located outside the terminal entrance/exit.
Heathrow Terminal 4 Smoking Area
The designated Terminal 4 Smoking Area is available both before and after security. After passing security, follow signs between gates 6B and 7, take the lift or escalator to Level 1, and access the smoking area through sliding doors.
Heathrow Terminal 5 Smoking Area
Smoking is not allowed inside Terminal 5. The only option is to use the designated smoking areas outside the terminal entrance if you are not connecting to another flight.
Are Vapes Allowed at Heathrow Airport?
